Work — Concept projects

No client work yet. Three concept sites instead.

Marnovo is new, so Avery built three working sites for fictional businesses, one for each job a service-business site does: quotes, bookings and consultations. There are no testimonials here, and we won’t make any up.

  • Wrenfield’s home page on a desktop screen, under a “Concept project: fictional business” banner. On the left, the headline “Storm last night? Start here.” and a “Get my estimate in 60 seconds” button. On the right, a photo of a water-stained ceiling.

    Wrenfield Roofing & Exteriors

    Roofing · Charlotte and Greenville

    The site’s one job
Get a homeowner to a ballpark price and a booked inspection.
  • Veradell’s home page on a desktop screen, under a “Concept project: fictional business” banner. On the left, the headline “Physician-led, plainly priced.”, a sample treatment with its starting price, and buttons for booking a treatment or finding the right one. On the right, a photo of a physician talking with a client in a calm treatment room.

    Concept project · fictional business

    Veradell Aesthetics

Med spa · Three clinics around Nashville

    The site’s one job
Get a visitor to a booked treatment, with no phone call and no request form.
  • Ashcombe Vesey’s home page on a desktop screen, under a “Concept project: fictional business” banner. The headline “Tell us what’s going on.” sits on a stone wall with a brass handrail. On the left, a window view of towers and mountains and a review card marked as a sample. On the right, the first step of the consultation card.

    Ashcombe Vesey LLP

Business and estate law · Denver and Boulder

    The site’s one job
Take a visitor from “I’m not sure what I need” to a booked consultation with the right attorney.

Where sites lose people

Most service-business sites lose customers in the same three places.

  1. 01

    No clear next step.

One primary action, repeated wherever someone is deciding what to do next.

  2. 02

A phone number you can’t tap.

Tap-to-call everywhere, plus the number as plain text for anyone dialing from a desk.

  3. 03

A page that takes too long to load.

Built light, and tested on an ordinary phone over a cellular connection, not office Wi-Fi.

We fix those first.

What you get — Websites, local search and brand

Websites, and everything around them.

Every site is built around one job. The work around it helps people find you, and pick you once they do.

Websites

Built around the site’s one job: a quote form, your own booking tool or a consultation request.

  • Your name and what you do on the first screen, before anyone scrolls.
  • The words written by us, or by you.
  • Page titles, descriptions, headings, image alt text and a sitemap, set up so Google knows what each page is about.
  • Kept current by the care plan, if you want it.

Local search and your Google Business Profile

If Google says you close at 5 and Yelp says 6, people don’t call to check. They call someone else.

  • Your Google Business Profile set up or cleaned up, then kept current.
  • Listings fixed, so your name, address and phone number match everywhere Google looks.
  • Calm, specific replies to your reviews.

Brand

Plenty of good businesses look smaller than they are.

  • Who you’re for and why you’re the obvious call, written down so every sign and every page says the same thing.
  • A logo and a look that hold up on a truck door, a storefront and a phone screen.
More about brand work

We can also write the copy, direct the photography and help with ongoing marketing when you want it.

You’ll talk to Avery.

Marnovo is Avery Russ, based in Hampstead on the North Carolina coast. We build for service businesses of every size, wherever they are. The work runs over video calls and shared drafts, and in person when you’re nearby.

Questions — Before you call

The questions owners ask first.

What does it cost?
A Style starter is a five-page site in one of our starting styles for $300. Custom builds start at $600 and are scoped to what the business can carry. The care plan is $99 a month, and optional. All three are founding-client prices for our first ten clients. Local search and brand work are priced per business, and you’ll get a price on the demo call. Either way, start with a free homepage demo and see what yours would look like before you spend anything.
What’s in the free demo?
A mockup of your new homepage, designed around your business: what you do, who it’s for and how people reach you. We walk you through it, and you decide what happens next. No cost and no obligation.
What if I don’t like the demo?
Then you don’t go ahead. The demo costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
How long does it take?
You get a date when you approve your demo. It depends on the number of pages and who writes the words.
Do I own the site?
Yes. Your domain stays in your name, and the first year of hosting is included. After that, the care plan covers hosting, or we hand over your site files and you host them anywhere you like.
I don’t have a website, just a phone number and a good name.
That’s a fine place to start. Plenty of solid businesses run on word of mouth. A site gives the people who hear about you something to check before they call, and gives Google something to show them.
My site is old. Do I have to start over?
Not always. Sometimes the fastest win is fixing the three places it loses people. We’ll tell you honestly which it is.
What kinds of businesses do you build for?
Service businesses of every size, the kind where customers start by asking for a quote, booking an appointment or requesting a consultation. We don’t build online stores, payment systems or customer logins.
Do you only work with businesses in Hampstead?
No. Hampstead is home base. We work with businesses anywhere, over video calls and shared drafts, and in person when you’re nearby.
What happens after launch?
The care plan keeps your site and your Google Business Profile current, from hours and services to the small fixes, for $99 a month. From the second year it covers hosting too. It’s optional, and you can add it any time.
